Ideas for Vietnam Family Trip


The very first feeling you will experience in any city or village in Vietnam is the local love to see families and they are very pleased to welcome your family. Kids are pampered by the greatest hospitality provided by local people, especially the old. There is no doubt that your kids will love the time they are in Vietnam. 
1. Before you arrive:
- Make sure you have visas for your family.
- Check the weather forecast and bring appropriate clothes
- Check with the hotel if you need baby cot
 
2. Planning your trip
Kindly notice that not all the places in Vietnam are ready to welcome your family without preparation in advance. Jungle lodge, homestay condition should be acknowledged before you arrive so that your children will have ideas of where they will stay.
 
For active trip: Sapa, Da Lat hill station are wonderful places to enjoy outdoor activities such as trekking, biking, rafting or simply 4W drive. 
For a great knowledge of nature, you will find many national parks locating from north to south.
Cultural highlights should focus on cities like Hanoi, Hoi An, Hue or Ho Chi Minh city. These destinations are much of interaction that are typically Vietnamese.
Famous beach for family are: Nha Trang, Mui Ne, Hoi An. Besides, you can take a flight to Phu Quoc island or doing cruise trip in Ha Long Bay.
 
Tour or excursion recommendations:
3 days in Hanoi with 1 day to clear the jetlag, 1 day to visit the city and 1 day doing biking to rural areas.
2 days in Halong Bay either cruising into the bay or visit Cat Ba island
2 to 4 days in Hoi An combining the study of traditional work, visiting My Son holy land and relax by the beach or Cham island
2 days in Nha Trang to tour the city and enjoy the sandy beaches
3 to 4 days in Mekong Delta. This is a good chance to experience the local life on the banks or Mekong River
2 days in Ho Chi Minh to visit colonial and historical attractions and do shopping.
